Amick Associates, Inc. will confirm the loading on a Leash Assembly as it is applied in the field, or Lake!!! Amick will be using our smaller 100 ton horizontal test bed to perform this test. A test jig was fabricated to closely simulate an outboard motor of size. Both the main leash and the associated "pigtail" will be destructed simultaneously. We are projecting nominal breaking strengths of 25 to 28K. First we will torchure a used unit that has seen 160 hours of use. Following that test, a new unit will be pulled to distruction.
